Program Overview

This day-long seminar is designed to increase the lending knowledge and administrative effectiveness of one of the most important positions in a community bank’s lending staff – the loan assistant/loan processor.  All of the objectives of this seminar are directed at increasing the performance effectiveness of these individuals.

Seminar Topics

  • The Loan Assistant’s primary role in loan origination and bank profitability.
  • The Loan Assistant’s role in developing and maintaining effective, working partnerships with Lenders.
  • The Loan Assistant’s role in compliance with federal lending regulations.
  • A Complete review of the Primary Loan Documentation for both Consumer and Small  Business Loans.
  • A variety of lending resources to increase the lending knowledge of Loan Assistants.

Who Should Attend
Loan Assistants and Loan Processors, Credit Administration Supervisors, and other members of the bank’s loan support staff with credit administration responsibilities.

The program is approved for 6 hours of CPE credits.

About Your Presenter
John Cochran, John Cochran & Associates, Jefferson City, Missouri presents a variety of lending seminars to many state banking associations and individual client banks. Additionally, he serves on the faculty of several commercial lending schools. When not teaching, John provides consulting and loan review services to client banks.  During his banking career, he served in a number of lending capacities including compliance and loan review officer, consumer and commercial lending, chief lending officer, and president and chief executive officer of a community bank.

 

Fees

The following fees include the program, materials, lunch and refreshments:

$225 — IBA Members
$155 — Each Additional IBA Member
$450 — Non-Members

As of Jan. 1, 1994, only 50 percent of business food and beverage can be deducted. For tax purposes the cost of food and beverage for this program is $25.

The IBA Center for Professional Development is located on the westside of Indianapolis just off of I-465. From I-465 take the 38th Street West Exit (Exit 17). When you exit go west on 38th street. Turn north/right onto Eagle Creek Parkway and then east/right onto Parkdale Place. Our address is 6925 Parkdale Place, Indianapolis, IN 46254. Confirmation/Cancellation
Everyone who registers online will receive an e-mail confirmation after the registration is submitted. Within three or more business days prior to the day of an educational program, no cancellation charge will be assessed.  Within two days prior, 50% of the fee is assessed.  Refunds are not provided for cancellations or absences which occur on the day of the program.  Substitutions are welcome at any time.
